  • Some courses may be listed in both a foundation area and a specialization field; students may use a course to fulfill only one requirement for the major.

In rare circumstances, a student may petition the EPP Faculty Steering Committee for approval of a self-designed field. Students interested in designing their own specialization field should speak with the departmental advisor as early as possible after they declare the major and before they complete the designated coursework.
