Academic Advising Updates due to Coronavirus Response

The Academic Advising Center is committed to helping students through the spring semester as the Novel Coronavirus impacts the UI campus.  Listed below are the most recent advising related updates, as well as information and links to student resources.  We will post updates as they become available, so check back.

For students advised at the Academic Advising Center

  • The Academic Advising Center will maintain regular hours of operation (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. on weekdays), but requests that students phone in (319-353-5700).  You can also email your advisor during this time.
  • Students can still schedule advising appointments through MyUI as they normally would.
  • Advising appointments will be conducted by phone, Zoom, or Skype for the remainder of the semester.  Advisors will call students at the number listed in MyUI to initiate the appointment.
  • Students are welcome to contact their advisor via email at any time. The advisor will respond as quickly as possible.
  • Students should check their UI email account daily for updates from the Advising Center, instructors, and the university.

For students not advised at the Academic Advising Center

  • Contact your academic advisor via email when you have questions
  • If you are not certain who your advisor is, you can find out in the Student Information Section of MyUI
